Military uniform as an inspirational garment

The Martini family has a long tradition in tailoring that began in the workshop of grandfather Vilmo in Carrara. Giorgio Martini inherited his passion for fashion from his father and in 1974, he embarked on a research trip to South America with his collaborators, during which he discovered the military uniform of the Colombian Liberation Army.

This journey inspired the company's team to create a civilian wardrobe using the details and volumes of military clothing, giving birth to the clothing brand Mason's.

Colombian military garments are made of Libertador cotton, a double-twisted gabardine that provides resistance to wear and excellent fit. These garments are characterized by large multifunctional pockets and a camouflage pattern, which will become a distinctive element of the brand.

Mason's origins are linked to the figure of Che Guevara and his ideals of freedom, equality, and utopia. Even today, the echo of that journey is reflected in the collection of pants, including the Chile model, an extra-slim-fit cotton cargo pants for men with camouflage pattern.
