Military uniform as an inspirational garment

The Martini family has a long tailoring tradition that began in grandfather Vilmo's workshop in Carrara. Giorgio Martini inherited his passion for fashion from his father and in 1974 embarked on a research trip to South America with his collaborators, during which he discovered the military uniform of the Colombian liberation army.

This journey inspired the company's team to create a civilian wardrobe using the details and volumes of military clothing, giving birth to the Mason's clothing brand.

Colombian military garments are made of Libertado cotton, a double-twisted gabardine that provides resistance to wear and excellent fit. These pieces are characterized by large multifunctional pockets and a camouflage pattern, which will become a distinctive element of the brand.
